Pro Tip: Meet the 2022 Callaway Rogue Line

Pro Tip: Meet the 2022 Callaway Rogue Line

When Artificial Intelligence was first installed in new Callaway Golf drivers it was considered a game changer.

With the new Callaway driver for 2022 now released, the Callaway Rogue ST, consider the game changed again.

    Callaway Rogue ST

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Callaway Rogue driver, new Callaway irons, and new hybrids and fairway woods released by Callaway Golf in Canada for 2022.

    Callaway Rogue ST Drivers

    Callaway Rogue ST Driver

The company has been developing computer-assisted clubs for a while (its previous Epic Speed and Mavrik families were created with Artificial Intelligence) but the new Callaway golf drivers for 2022 are even more advanced.

Callaway (ST stands for ‘Speed Tuned’ since Callaway’s R&D team had a laser-like focus on ramping up the speed on the faces of these new drivers) is now using A.I. in alternative ways to help improve forgiveness, launch, spin, and of course, speed.

There are four separate models in the Callaway Rogue driver family for 2022: Max, Max LS, Max D, and Triple Diamond LS. Each Rogue ST boasts a new Flash Face SS22 face design, and A.I. was used to help build different faces for each of the four driver models.

The new Callaway Rogue drivers help golfers to hit it further and straighter thanks to the carbon composite crowns, carbon sole plates, and smart A.I. faces (which have varying level of thickness to help maximize speed) bonded together in a Unibody construction – made of titanium.

There’s also a tungsten speed cartridge in the new Callaway Rogue drivers that helps place 26 grams low and deep on the driver head to help increase speed on off-centre hits and provide more forgiveness.

The Rogue ST Max is the most forgiving (slight draw bias), the Rogue ST Max LS has lower spin and more workability (neutral trajectory), Rogue ST Max D is forgiving and has built-in draw bias, while the Rogue ST Max Triple Diamond LS (formerly Triple Diamond were Tour-only shapes) is the lowest spinning model and has a compact head shape.

The new Callaway fairway woods also use Jailbreak technology but boast what Callaway is calling a breakthrough in fairway performance.

There are three models of the new Callaway Rogue fairway woods: the Rogue ST Max (high-launch, neutral ball flight), the Rogue ST Max D (highest-launching, draw bias – the first dedicated-draw fairway wood), and Rogue ST LS (lowest launching and low spin).

Callaway Rogue ST fairway woods all include the new tungsten speed cartridge, new Batwing technology, and an A.I.-designed flash face.

The new Batwing technology helps to promote stability and speed – the Jailbreak batwings are pushed further to the perimeter which helps keeping the club stiffer while allowing the face to flex for higher ball speeds.

Callaway Golf’s new fairway woods for 2022 are said to be up to 10 yards longer than previous models.

    Callaway Rogue ST Hybrids

    Callaway Rogue ST Hybrids

Just like the new Callaway Rogue fairway woods, the new Callaway Rogue ST hybrids use Jailbreak technology to help with forgiveness and speed.

There are multiple Rogue ST models: Max (all-around performance), the Max OS (larger shape, higher launch), the Max OS Lite (made mostly for women and seniors), and the Pro version (shallow shape, iron-like workability).

The Rogue ST hybrids have an all-new Jailbreak system, high strength A.I.-designed face cup, and a precision tungsten weight system. The A.I.-designed face pattern is totally customized for each model and loft in the hybrid lineup.

    Callaway Rogue Irons

    Callaway Rogue Irons

There are four versions of the new Callaway irons for 2022, the Rogue ST: the Pro, Max, Max OS, and Max Lite.

The Rogue ST irons take some inspiration from last year’s Apex 21 and its update is focused on the all-new 450 A.I. Face cup – a blend of Callaway’s flash face cup technology and high-strength 450 steel.

The Rogue ST Pro boasts all of Callaway’s new-for-2022 iron technology but in a compact construction low-handicap players are eager to see in their bags. The Rogue ST Max is built for mid-to-high handicappers with refined game-improvement shaping and fit a wide range of golfers who are looking for all-around iron performance. The Rogue ST Max OS irons feature A.I. face optimization and specifically designed for mid to high handicap golfers who are looking for wide soles, enhanced offset and high launch to help with game improvement. Finally, the Rogue ST Max OS Lite irons feature more loft, lighter swing weights, and lighter shafts that make them the easiest to swing and highest launching Rogue ST model.
